The following is a note about the upcoming audit of the Irish Province of Carmelites by the National Board for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in Ireland.

The annual Carmelite Pilgrimage to Knock will take place on Sunday, September 10th, 2023. The pilgrimage is a great occasion of community and prayer, an opportunity for the Carmelite family and all associated with us to come together at our national shrine.

To mark the canonisation of Titus Brandsma which took place at St Peter’s, Rome, on Sunday, May 15th, the Irish Province of Carmelites will celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving at Whitefriar Street Church on Sunday, May 22nd at 4.00 pm.

The Irish Province of Carmelites are organising a pilgrimage to attend the canonisation of Titus Brandsma in Rome from 12th – 17th May, 2022. The canonisation will take place at St Peter’s Square on Sunday 15th May.

Pope Francis announced today that Titus Brandsma, Carmelite and Martyr, will be canonised in May. This news is greeted with joy by the Carmelite Family throughout the world.

Each year, thousands of people come to the Shrine of Saint Valentine in Whitefriar Street Church. This short article explains how the relics of the Saint came to rest there and why people visit them.

The annual Blessing of the Animals took place on January 17th, 2022. The following account was written by Fr Brian McKay O.Carm. who has recently moved to the Carmelite community there.
