Say Yes. Go Deeper. Live Differently.
Sunday, 12 July 2026 | Whitefriar Street Church, Dublin | 9.30am – 6.00pm
Young adults from across Ireland are invited to gather in the heart of Dublin this summer for Made for More 2026, a day dedicated to faith, friendship, prayer, and authentic conversation about what it means to follow Jesus Christ in today’s world.
Hosted by the Carmelite Community of Whitefriar Street as part of the annual Solemn Novena in honour of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, this conference offers young adults aged 18–35 an opportunity to step away from the busyness of daily life, encounter Christ more deeply, and reflect on the unique calling God has placed on their lives.
Inspired by the theme “Say Yes. Go Deeper. Live Differently.”, Made for More seeks to create a welcoming space where young adults can grow in faith, build meaningful friendships, and be encouraged in their Christian discipleship.
Rooted in the Carmelite Tradition
Made for More is inspired by the rich spiritual heritage of the Carmelite Order and the example of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. For more than 800 years, Carmelites have sought to follow Christ through prayer, community, and service, learning to recognise God’s presence not only in extraordinary moments but also in the silence and simplicity of everyday life.
Following the example of the great Carmelite saints, this conference invites participants to deepen their relationship with Christ, grow in prayer, and discover how God is calling them to live with greater purpose, faith, and hope.
Guest Keynote Speaker: Fr Conor McGrath
We are delighted to welcome Fr Conor McGrath, priest of the Diocese of Down and Connor and current Diocesan Director of Vocations, as the keynote speaker for Made for More 2026.
Through his ministry with young people, vocations promotion, parish life, and digital evangelisation, Fr Conor has become widely known for his engaging and practical approach to sharing the Gospel. Drawing on his experience of accompanying young people on their faith journeys, he speaks with warmth, humour, and wisdom about discipleship, prayer, vocation, and the challenges of living as a Christian today.
Special Guest Celebrant: Bishop Fintan Gavin
The conference will conclude with the 4.00pm Solemn Novena Mass in honour of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, celebrated by Bishop Fintan Gavin, Bishop of Cork and Ross.
As Chair of the Bishops’ Council for Evangelisation, Catechetics and Pastoral Renewal, Bishop Fintan has been a strong advocate for youth ministry in Ireland and has consistently encouraged the creation of spaces where young adults can encounter Christ, build community, and deepen their faith.
