The Carmelite Friary Church, White Abbey, Kildare Town, will celebrate a Triduum in honour of St Thérèse of Lisieux from September 28–30, followed by her feast day on Thursday, October 1, 2026. The celebrations mark the 25th anniversary of the visit of her relics to Ireland in 2001.
Each evening of the Triduum, the Third Order Carmelites will lead the Rosary at 5pm, followed by Mass.
The relics will be available for veneration on September 29, from the 10am Mass until noon, and on September 30, from the 8am Mass until 10am. The September 30 Mass will include a blessing of roses for the Knit/Crochet a Rose Campaign.
Bishop Denis Nulty will celebrate a special feast-day Mass on October 1 at 7pm, with veneration continuing until 9.30pm. Blessed roses will be available.
The Carmelite community warmly invites everyone to join these days of prayer, inspired by St Thérèse’s “Little Way” of trust in God and love in everyday life.
