With over thirty Zimbabwean-born Solemnly Professed Carmelites and over twenty young men in formation, the Commissariat of Zimbabwe represents the growing side of the Irish Province of Carmelites. The increasing number of young men joining the Order is a clear indicator of the growth of Carmel in Zimbabwe.

The success of this mission is due to the hard work of the Irish missionary Carmelites, together with confreres from Australia, New York and Britain. However, it is also due to the generous support received from our benefactors in Ireland and abroad.

In sometimes very difficult circumstances, Carmelites in Zimbabwe continue to spread the Good News of the Gospel and to serve people who are most in need. We are grateful for the support, both financial and spiritual, which we have received continuously over the years.
