We deeply regret that our past failures to protect our students during their time in our care have exacerbated the suffering they endured.
Apologies have been issued in the past, and while they may be wholly inadequate, the men who came forward in this latest case involving John McLean must hear that we are genuinely sorry for the harm they suffered and that we acknowledge their courage in coming forward.
Each person who has been abused, who may not have already done so, is urged to contact us directly. We remain committed to listening to and learning from the victims and survivors of abuse in our schools and other ministry settings, working with them towards healing and accountability.
